Kalthoff Täljyxa is useful for a variety of tipping moments, ranging from removing a lot of material to finely cutting surfaces. It works just as well for beginners as for you who have carved a lot.
The ax head's 550 grams are easy to swing. The edge is sharp out of the package and ready to use and with 32 degree flat grinding, the ax works fine for both soft and hard woods. The durable edge keeps the sharpness for a long time but is still easy to grind.
The ax was developed by Julia Kalthoff in collaboration with the experienced craftsman Beth Moen. The ax is balanced and feels light during precision work when you grip just below the head, while you can effectively cut down a lot of material and get a lot of force in the swing when you grip the bottom of the shaft.
